General Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of LENS EVENTS LTD's services and website. By engaging our services or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Provided

LENS EVENTS LTD ("we", "us", or "our") provides professional photography, videography, and related media services as described on our website and in service agreements.

2. Booking and Payments

• A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking date.
• The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Payments can be made via bank transfer or credit card.
• Late payments may incur additional charges at our discretion.

Copyright & Usage

3. Copyright Ownership

All images and videos created by LENS EVENTS LTD remain our intellectual property and are protected by copyright law.

4. Client Usage Rights

• Upon full payment, clients receive a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the images/videos for personal use.
• Commercial use requires written agreement and may incur additional fees.
• Images may not be altered, edited, or used in a way that could harm our reputation without prior consent.

5. Model Release

Clients are responsible for obtaining necessary model releases for any individuals featured prominently in the images/videos. We may use select images for our portfolio and marketing unless specifically requested otherwise in writing.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

6. Client Cancellation

• Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event: deposit is forfeited.
• Cancellations within 30 days of the event: full payment is required.
• We reserve the right to terminate services for abusive behavior with no refund.

7. Rescheduling

One reschedule is permitted if notice is given at least 14 days before the original event date, subject to availability. Subsequent reschedules may require additional deposit.

8. Photographer Cancellation

In the unlikely event we must cancel, we will provide a full refund or recommend a replacement photographer of similar quality. Our liability is limited to the fees paid.

Delivery & Liability

9. Delivery Timeline

• Proofs are typically delivered within 14 business days for events, 7 days for commercial work.
• Final edited images/videos are delivered within 4-6 weeks unless otherwise agreed.
• Rush processing is available for an additional fee.

10. Liability Limitations

• We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control (illness, weather, equipment failure, etc.).
• Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in question.
• We are not responsible for compromised coverage due to weather conditions, scheduling complications, or restrictions imposed by venue officials.

11. Image Archiving

We archive images for 12 months. It is the client's responsibility to download and backup their files. Additional fees apply for retrieval after this period.

General Provisions

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The current version will always be available on our website.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with any written service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the services.
